Human Resources Assistant Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administer company training programs including assessments of training needed.
  • Answer HR line calls
  • Act as back-up for all company phone lines
  • Update Viewpoint with unemployment claim information as received.
  • Track safety training as received for each employee, including new hire training and jobsite orientations.
  • Update employee files with personal information changes as needed.
  • Process pay change and per diem approvals.
  • Monitor OJT hours and enter information to AGC site.
  • Process weekly reports: Missing/Zero Hours
  • Research and prepare initial unemployment claim responses.
  • Conduct Exit Interviews weekly

Human Resources Assistant Skills and Requirements:

  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, quickly changing environments.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • HS Degree or equivalent
  • Previous experience working in a HR Department
