IT Field Support Tech Duties and Responsibilities:
- Installing and testing equipment in the field for new and existing stores, i.e., POS, CCTV, PC, and networking devices
- Testing equipment to verify proper communication and functionality.
- Wiring, termination and testing of network infrastructure.
- Assist in training store personnel on use of equipment.
- Assist in decision making in the field about placement of equipment for customer flow and ease of use for employees.
- Traveling to various locations nationwide
- Other duties assigned as needed.
IT Field Support Tech Skills and Requirements:
- HS Diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic network installation, basic PC skills.
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office use and functionality a plus, ability to utilize hand tools.
- Ability to learn and adapt to varying situations quickly, excellent customer service skills and the ability to work under supervision with a high level of integrity.
- Requires prolonged sitting, bending, and stooping, ladder climbing.
- The ability to lift to 50 pounds.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and hand tools.
- Traveling via car and plane will be required (the amount of travel does vary but travel typically is about 2-3 weeks per month.)
- Overnight travel is required.
