Principal Developer Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Architecturally design and develop best-in-class services using components that are well-defined.
  • Drive modern software engineering practices in design and code review.
  • Interface design with coding proficiency in C#/Java, .NET, ASP.NET, React, JavaScript, node.js, or equal languages/MVC entity framework; Scripting capabilities: PowerShell, SQL, TFS
  • Design software systems from requirements, interactions with stakeholders, users, business analysts, and more.
  • Lead DevOps by example, resolve most challenging operational issues and root cause to eliminate recurrence
  • Ability to quickly ramp up, understand complex problems, and create solutions across many products and exchange agencies.
  • Collaborate with mentors and leaders to contribute to cohesive end-to-end user experience and partner relationships to influence.
  • Ability to develop standards applicable to service and product reviews and corrective action plans.

Principal Developer Skills and Requirements:

  • Work closely with individual teams to improve their working practices, both coding skills and process related.
  • Expertise with web or application development with full stack (data engineering, micro-service design)
  • Exceptional software development design, debugging and troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure or similar cloud platforms and full-stack or front-end systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with .NET, SQL, and T-SQL.
  • Source code/branch management (merging code between branches), maintenance and confirmation of build systems, and administration of TFS and related systems
  • Working knowledge of middle tier development, including Web Services, Windows Services, work flow, and WCF
