Payroll Specialist Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process multi-state payroll for employees
- Process bonuses and out-of-cycle payroll
- Prepare multiple out-of-state weekly and monthly union reports.
- Assist in preparation of weekly deposit reports, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
Payroll Specialist Skills and Requirements:
- Conscientious about timeliness of assignments and quality of work product
- Demonstrated utilization of technology to improve process efficiency.
- Adherence to established accounting policies and procedures.
- Exceptional computer skills in the operation and functioning of all programs used in finance and accounting functions, especially Microsoft Office products.
- Associate’s degree with an emphasis in bookkeeping is preferred but not required.
- 5+ years of experience in payroll
- 1+ years of UKG Kronos software is preferred but not required.
- Experience with job cost construction payroll is preferred but not required.
