Accountant Key Responsibilities:
- Issue and track raw materials in production orders; resolve discrepancies with supervisors.
- Review labor hours and ensure alignment with standard labor expectations.
- Close weekly production orders and verify accurate production cost reports.
- Attend costing meetings; report and explain variances.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials and packaging.
- Prepare monthly journal entries, allocations, and audit support for corporate reporting.
- Resolve purchase order pricing variances with the purchasing team.
- Assist with annual budgeting and monitor monthly performance; lead budget meetings with department heads.
- Manage R&D logs and submit quarterly updates.
- Provide cost analysis and reporting support to plant leadership.
Accountant Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 2–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
- Strong Excel, Word, and 10-key skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong communication and time management skills.
- Experience with ERP systems and cost accounting preferred.
