Senior Staff Accountant Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and support the development of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Assist with the preparation and analysis of financial statements in accordance with standard accounting principles.

Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.

Support the preparation of corporate tax returns and related documentation.

Assist in internal and external audits by providing required schedules and responding to audit inquiries.

Utilize Microsoft Excel for financial data manipulation, reporting, and analysis; proficiency is essential.

Communicate effectively with departmental managers and staff to resolve accounting issues and clarify financial data.

Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.

Contribute to a collaborative team environment while being comfortable in a quiet, focused workplace setting.
Senior Staff Accountant Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.

Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 preferred. Candidates with a 3.0 GPA may be considered for temporary assignments if core accounting coursework is strong. Transcripts must be submitted with application.

Prior experience working in a corporate accounting environment strongly preferred.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial data to non-financial personnel.

Demonstrated initiative, organizational skills, and attention to detail.

Comfortable balancing independent tasks with occasional collaborative discussions and phone-based interactions.
