Accounting Analyst Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and reporting.
- Assist with Joint Interest Billing (JIB) and related accounting functions.
- Develop and maintain Excel models for forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
- Support audit processes and prepare necessary documentation.
- Learn and utilize SSI accounting software (experience with SSI is a plus but not required).
Accounting Analyst Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of experience in oil & gas accounting or financial analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, etc.).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience or familiarity with Joint Interest Billing (JIB) preferred.
- Experience with SSI software is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
