Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Provide leadership, training, and oversight to accounting staff to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, while tracking and evaluating key performance indicators.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis efforts to support business planning.
  • Monitor cash flow, review funding needs, and oversee recurring payment processes.
  • Administer customer credit policies and address escalated collections issues when necessary.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of applicable business taxes and completion of reconciliations.
  • Conduct detailed transaction reviews, research discrepancies, and resolve accounting issues.
  • Participate in and support month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entry approvals.
  • Review and post financial transactions such as journal entries and deposits.
  • Handle international financial transactions when applicable.
  • Evaluate current accounting practices, recommend improvements, and implement process enhancements.
  • Provide cross-functional support for other accounting roles as needed.
  • Contribute to special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally across all levels of an organization.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a focus on meeting deadlines.
  • Advanced problem-solving capabilities and strong analytical skills, including experience with data analysis and financial research.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Skilled in 10-key data entry by touch.
  • Solid understanding of basic mathematical concepts, including percentages and financial calculations.
