Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the company’s accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting
- Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, providing strategic financial guidance to leadership
- Analyze financial data and present actionable insights to support business decision-making
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk
- Coordinate and lead external audits, tax preparation, and compliance efforts
- Develop, implement, and improve accounting systems, policies, and procedures to support company growth
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a high-performance team environment
- Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership to support operational and strategic initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- MBA or advanced degree preferred
- 5+ years of Controller experience within an organization of approximately 400 employees (or similar scale)
- Proven experience managing financial operations for companies with annual revenues between $50 million and $400 million
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Experience with ERP systems and financial management software
- Demonstrated leadership and team management experience
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability
- Ability to collaborate effectively with executive leadership and cross-functional teams
