Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and implement database components such as tables, views, indexes, and stored procedures within Microsoft SQL Server.
- Develop, test, and maintain SSIS packages to support data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from various sources.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data throughout ETL workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and interpret data requirements.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to data integration and database performance.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of database architecture, ETL processes, and operational procedures.
- Handle data imports from multiple formats, including legacy EBCDIC files.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in SQL Server development.
- Proficient in T-SQL for building and optimizing database objects.
- Solid experience with SSIS for ETL development and data integration.
- Familiarity with EBCDIC file formats and mainframe data sources is highly desirable.
- Understanding of data modeling principles and relational database design.
