Key Responsibilities
- Build and utilize complex financial models to evaluate mortgage‑related assets, including:
- Mortgage whole loans
- Mortgage‑backed securities
- Mortgage servicing rights
- Analyze customer, market, and internal data to support accurate asset valuation and investment decision‑making.
- Partner directly with senior decision‑makers to support ongoing investment activities, often under tight deadlines and rapid turnaround expectations.
- Perform scenario analysis, model validation, and performance assessments to ensure accuracy and reliability of valuation results.
- Assist with special projects and additional analytical duties within the investment or valuation functions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Finance, Mathematics, or Accounting (GPA of 3.7 or higher required).
- Exceptional quantitative, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to clearly explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to work effectively in fast‑paced and sometimes high‑pressure environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with valuation, statistical, or reporting software is a plus.
