Financial Analyst

Key Responsibilities

  • Examine historical performance of mortgage-related assets and build models to project future behavior and performance trends.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed financial forecasts, including multi‑year prospective financial statements for the division.
  • Review the accuracy of prior forecasts and integrate findings to refine assumptions and improve forecasting reliability.
  • Develop a strong understanding of key factors influencing mortgage asset performance to support strategic and operational decisions.
  • Produce reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that clearly communicate financial insights and explain updates to forecasting assumptions.
  • Identify and explain drivers of financial results to better inform forecasting models and executive decisions.
  • Present forward‑looking financial statements, analysis, and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Lead quarterly development of a three‑year financial outlook informed by current market and interest rate conditions.
  • Assess capital capacity, liquidity ratios, and other metrics used to evaluate future investment opportunities.
  • Assist with recurring financial reporting requirements and conduct ad hoc financial analyses as requested.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50.
  • Three or more years of experience in finance, accounting, financial analysis, or a comparable area preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to interpret large amounts of financial data.
  • Highly self‑motivated individual who can work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (required).
  • Experience with Power Query, Power Pivot, and Power BI preferred.
  • Familiarity with Anaplan financial planning software and the Asana work management platform is a plus.
