Financial Reporting Analyst Key Responsibilities
- Produce daily and monthly operational reports with a strong emphasis on data accuracy and quality control.
- Extract, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources; identify and correct discrepancies.
- Develop a working knowledge of end-to-end operational processes to enhance reporting controls and insights.
- Analyze reporting outputs to identify trends, inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Partner with operational teams to communicate findings and recommend efficiencies or control enhancements.
- Review and evaluate existing reports to ensure alignment with business needs and regulatory requirements.
- Perform statistical analysis to support operational performance monitoring.
- Design and build new reports to support management decision-making and operational oversight.
- Manage multiple projects and ad hoc reporting requests in a deadline-driven environment.
Financial Reporting Analyst Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a data- or math-related discipline (e.g., Information Systems, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Accounting, or similar) with a minimum GPA of 3.25, or Four (4) or more years of relevant professional experience in lieu of a specific degree.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of reporting methodologies, data analysis techniques, and quality assurance practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.
- Ability to manage multiple reports and initiatives simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, organized, and adaptable, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
