Helpdesk Technician

Helpdesk Technician Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform computer setup, deployment, and maintenance for end-users.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, software, network connectivity, and peripherals.
  • Set up and support VPN connections for remote access.
  • Assist in printer setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage network drives and permissions.
  • Implement and maintain cybersecurity protocols and best practices.
  • Provide remote support to various company sites across the country.
  • Offer on-site and desk-side support as needed.
  • Troubleshoot network and device issues on the factory floor.

Helpdesk Technician Skills and Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Active Directory for user and group management.
  • Experience using service management software for ticketing and issue tracking.
  • Proficiency in knowledge base management to create and update IT documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Prior experience in a similar IT support role preferred.
