IT Director

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the organization’s overall IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, endpoints, cybersecurity tools, and cloud-based solutions.
  • Ensure the stability, security, and scalability of all IT systems.
  • Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the organization and external, vendor-managed IT support providers.
  • Oversee vendor performance, contract compliance, service level adherence, and escalation procedures.
  • Oversee the effective administration of enterprise software platforms and business applications.
  • Manage upgrades, integrations, and system improvements to ensure optimal performance.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to internal stakeholders and external support partners.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee cybersecurity tools, monitoring, response, and employee awareness training.
  • Manage the delivery of technical support through external vendors, ensuring high-quality service for all teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 7+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Paylocity (Payroll / HRIS Software): Experience supporting or managing payroll and HR workflows is a significant advantage.
  • Epicor (ERP System): Knowledge of ERP modules, system configuration, or manufacturing/operations workflows is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience managing vendor-supported IT environments.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud services, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems.
  • Experience with Paylocity or Epicor strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven success in leading technology initiatives and managing external service partners.
  • Adaptability and comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
