We are seeking a Temporary Corporate Legal Assistant / Paralegal to join one of our clients here in OKC. This role will provide support during an IPO process and is ideal for a legal professional with strong corporate, transactional, contracts, and compliance experience.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting corporate attorneys or legal officers in a corporate environment and be comfortable handling a high volume of confidential documentation in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist with corporate, contractual, and compliance-related documentation.
- Review, organize, maintain, and track contracts and legal documents.
- Support corporate governance activities and maintain corporate records.
- Assist with shareholder, equity, and other corporate agreements.
- Review and maintain employment contracts and related documentation.
- Track important deadlines, filings, and corporate compliance requirements.
- Assist with SEC filings, securities-related documentation, and public company reporting.
- Support due diligence processes and maintain electronic data rooms.
- Assist with documentation related to M&A, private equity, and other corporate transactions.
- Work closely with attorneys and legal leadership on time-sensitive projects.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling sensitive corporate information.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Corporate Paralegal, Legal Assistant, Contracts Paralegal, or similar role.
- Corporate, transactional, securities, or contracts experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with corporate governance and compliance documentation.
- Knowledge of shareholder and equity-related agreements, employment contracts, and corporate agreements.
- Experience working with SEC filings, securities, public company reporting, or IPO-related processes is highly preferred.
- Experience supporting due diligence and/or managing electronic data rooms.
- M&A and/or private equity experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Experience supporting in-house legal teams or attorneys within a large corporate environment is strongly preferred.
- Law firm experience in corporate or securities matters will also be considered.
