We are seeking an experienced Payroll Supervisor to lead a payroll team and oversee payroll operations across multiple locations. This role is ideal for a payroll professional with strong leadership experience, multi-state payroll knowledge, and a passion for improving processes while ensuring payroll accuracy and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support payroll staff, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback.
- Oversee payroll operations to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing.
- Develop, maintain, and standardize employee pay plans and compensation guidelines.
- Monitor payroll processes and implement continuous process improvements.
- Approve off-cycle payroll payments and ensure quality control measures are followed.
- Coordinate payroll activities with Accounting, Human Resources, and Operations.
- Oversee payroll audits, tax reconciliations, year-end processing, and W-2 preparation.
- Ensure compliance with wage garnishments, child support orders, and payroll regulations.
- Prepare executive compensation reports and other payroll-related reporting.
- Assist with hiring, scheduling, training, and mentoring payroll team members.
- Support special projects and other payroll initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in payroll.
- Experience managing multi-state and multi-location payroll required.
- Experience with payroll systems, preferably ADP Workforce Now.
- Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, labor laws, tax reporting, and payroll compliance.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Payroll certification and automotive industry experience are a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
