Titan Professional Resources is seeking a Senior Instructional Designer to join one of our clients here in OKC! This is a senior-level, consultative role for an experienced instructional designer who can own projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will be able to identify the real business need, recommend the right solution, develop engaging and effective learning materials, and evaluate whether the solution actually worked. This is not an order-taking or content-conversion role and is best suited for someone who is comfortable working independently and consulting with employees and leadership across an organization.
Responsibilities
- Own instructional design projects from initial discovery through development, launch, and evaluation.
- Support projects across safety, compliance, operations, onboarding, leadership development, and other enterprise initiatives.
- Work directly with drivers, technicians, dispatchers, supervisors, leaders, and other subject matter experts to gather information and understand performance needs.
- Identify the root problem and determine whether training is the appropriate solution.
- Recommend the best learning or performance solution based on the audience, business need, and work environment.
- Design and develop a variety of learning solutions, including eLearning, video, instructor-led training, blended learning, job aids, facilitator materials, and performance support.
- Develop accurate, accessible, and professional learning materials from concept through completion.
- Measure the effectiveness of learning solutions and use results to make improvements.
- Research existing internal resources, industry best practices, and new tools and technologies.
- Use AI and modern learning technologies to improve efficiency while maintaining quality and avoiding generic content.
- Manage multiple projects, stakeholders, and deadlines while keeping teams informed of progress.
- Facilitate meetings and discussions with subject matter experts, leaders, and end users.
- Help develop instructional design standards, templates, and processes for a growing organizational development function.
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of progressive instructional design experience with experience owning projects from analysis through evaluation.
- Strong experience with performance consulting and the ability to identify the underlying business problem before recommending a solution.
- Strong understanding of instructional design and adult learning principles, with the ability to explain how they have been applied to real projects.
- Experience using a structured instructional design methodology to lead projects from analysis through evaluation.
- Experience designing and developing multiple learning formats, including eLearning, video, instructor-led training, facilitator materials, job aids, and performance support.
- Knowledge of accessibility-aware design, including ADA/WCAG standards.
- Strong visual design skills with an understanding of layout, typography, readability, and consistency.
- Excellent writing, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to consult and collaborate with SMEs, leadership, and end users.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with limited oversight.
- Experience with modern authoring, multimedia, LMS, and AI-enabled tools.
- Experience with Articulate 360, Adobe Premiere, ScreenPal, Mentimeter, Paycom Learning, or JJ Keller is a plus.
- Ability to quickly learn new technology and determine which tools are best suited for each project.
