We are seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Controller to oversee and support financial and accounting operations within a manufacturing environment. This role will work collaboratively with the existing Controller and plant leadership to drive financial accuracy, improve processes, and provide strategic insights to support business operations.
The ideal candidate will have strong manufacturing controller experience, expertise in cost accounting, and the ability to analyze financial performance while partnering closely with operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide financial leadership and support for manufacturing operations
- Partner with plant leadership on financial strategy and decision-making
- Support financial reviews, reporting, and operational performance discussions
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and department leaders
- Review standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead to ensure accuracy
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Monitor cost variances and identify opportunities for improvement
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and financial regulations
- Assist with inventory management and cost analysis
- Collaborate with teams to gather financial data and provide insights
- Participate in audits and maintain accurate financial documentation
- Perform site walkthroughs to address production and costing-related issues
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Controller experience
- Manufacturing Controller experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting, general ledger, financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ERP systems and Power BI
- Knowledge of inventory management and manufacturing cost processes
- Understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory compliance
- MBA or advanced degree preferred
