Staff Accountant Key Responsibilities
- Accurately record and reconcile a wide range of financial transactions, including cash movements and reinsurance entries.
- Analyze and interpret complex data sets to ensure accuracy and consistency across financial systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the implementation and refinement of financial systems and processes.
- Identify discrepancies and proactively investigate issues, asking the right questions to resolve them efficiently.
- Contribute to process improvements by thinking critically and offering innovative solutions.
- Maintain a high level of data integrity and ensure compliance with internal controls and standards.
Staff Accountant Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience in specialty insurance or public accounting is highly desirable.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Technologically adept.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
