Titan Professional Resources is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to join one of our clients here in OKC! This position is responsible for the administration, maintenance, security, and lifecycle management of enterprise server infrastructure and messaging environments. The Systems Administrator will serve as the primary owner of VMware virtualization, hybrid Microsoft Exchange, enterprise email security, and SAN infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain VMware vSphere, ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, clusters, resource pools, virtual switches, datastores, and virtual machines
- Perform host lifecycle management, firmware updates, patching, upgrades, and capacity planning
- Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, storage utilization, and resource consumption
- Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades while minimizing operational impact
- Support disaster recovery planning and recovery testing
- Administer and maintain a hybrid Microsoft Exchange environment integrated with Microsoft 365
- Manage mail flow, connectors, transport rules, mailboxes, shared mailboxes, and distribution groups
- Maintain synchronization between Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and Exchange Online
- Troubleshoot hybrid connectivity, certificates, SMTP, authentication, and client access issues
- Administer enterprise storage environments, including Pure Storage, HPE Nimble, and Hitachi storage arrays
- Provision and manage storage for VMware clusters and enterprise servers
- Monitor storage performance, replication, snapshots, latency, and capacity
- Coordinate storage firmware upgrades and lifecycle replacements
- Troubleshoot SAN connectivity and performance issues
- Administer Proofpoint email security services, including spam filtering, phishing protection, encryption policies, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC
- Investigate and remediate email security incidents
- Maintain Windows Server operating systems supporting enterprise applications
- Perform routine patching, vulnerability remediation, and system health monitoring
- Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives
- Respond to infrastructure alerts and critical incidents
- Coordinate with vendors and state partners on implementations, upgrades, and infrastructure projects
- Maintain documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures
- Document system changes and follow established change management procedures
- Participate in on-call rotations and after-hours maintenance windows
Requirements:
- Experience administering VMware vSphere environments
- Experience with Microsoft Exchange in a hybrid environment
- Windows Server administration experience
- Active Directory administration experience
- Enterprise storage administration experience
- Strong understanding of DNS and DHCP
- Experience troubleshooting enterprise infrastructure
- Strong understanding of server, virtualization, messaging, and storage technologies
- Ability to work effectively with technical teams, vendors, and external partners
